In the early months of 2016, I embarked on the journey of creating Nested Spaces. A decade in the corporate realm—wearing hats in marketing, communications, sales, and customer service—led me to yearn for something uniquely my own. Then we moved from St. Louis to Indianapolis with two small children 6 months and 2.5 at the time, while working in the corporate world with a partner who traveled for work.

I dreamed of having more time, and freedom for myself and my kids. I also had a tucked-away dream of owning my own business.

After watching my mom successfully start and grow her real estate career in the late 80s and early 90s, I started researching design and home staging. She was staging homes before it was a thing in the early 2000s, and I saw that her listings were selling quicker and for top dollar.

Given my family’s history in real estate, coupled with my passion for design and business acumen, I was optimistic that this could turn into something with a real bottom line.

I’m proud to say that Nested Spaces has staged more than 700 homes in the Indianapolis area. We also have a design side of the business where we help furnish homes with custom pieces and renovate homes that are wanting a refresh.

We have a 7,200-square-foot warehouse in Indianapolis in Park 100. Now, we have more room for our staging inventory and a variety of custom-order furniture pieces plus artwork, and decor for our design clients, along with some samples.
